Certificate IV in Ageing Support

Overview

Certificate IV in Ageing Support enables trainees to boost a career in elderly healthcare services. The course focuses on individualised care and support of older people in various environments like residential, hospitals or even a community.

The course program takes an innovative approach towards skill development through hands-on training. You will be guided by industry experts and trainers in real-life situations to complete tasks related to health, hygiene and other complex needs of elderly patients.

Pathways for a Certified Ageing Support Professional

After completion of Certificate IV in Ageing Support, you could either go for a job within the industry or even go for further skill enhancement. Job opportunities would be as a Personal Care Worker, Care Team Supervisor/Leader, Residential Care Worker or Support Worker.

It depends on you to achieve any of the above job positions. Though, if you wish to further enhance your skills in ageing support and related industries, a Certificate IV in Disability or a Diploma in Nursing would be beneficial.
