Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care
Overview
This course program helps you to focus on skills for the role of an early childhood educator responsible for implementing education and care services. Students shall be taught both practical and theoretical skills to implement an approved learning curriculum and framework while adhering to the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and also the National Quality Standard.
In addition to boosting your skills in Education and Care Services, the course program gives you an overall learning experience by providing a real-life environment. Through periodic On-campus sessions, you can master your soft skills while working with education services for children and get hands-on working knowledge.

2. Topics covered
This Diploma course program focuses on overall child education and skill development. A wide variety of topics are covered with a focus on person-centric support while also developing and successfully maintaining care services for children at an early stage of education.

3. Career outcomes
After completing this course,
- Trainees shall be qualified as an Early Childhood Educators with a career opportunity in the education sector for Childhood Development
- Working with organizations or non-profits for the overall development of children with special needs
- Students can work as independent contractors for individual care and support needed by children during their early development phase
4. Prerequisites
These are the Eligibility factors for a Certificate III in Individual Support:
- Proficient English skills and an IELTS score of 5.5 or passing an English Exam conducted by the institution for International students
- Minimum age of 18 years for Australian Students and 20 years for International Students with a minimum of 10-year schooling
- A valid Provide First Aid certificate, Department of Communities & Social Inclusion (DCSI) and passing a screening Check for working with children including a physical fitness test.
- Enrollees are expected to hold a valid Child Safe Environments Certificate prior to attending professional practice placement upon successful completion of this Diploma Course.
5. Duration and study mode
The course duration for a Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care is 365 days or 1 year which comprises of different study modes, both in-campus or off-campus and self-learning mode with an online Education Counselor to help you individually.
